Hendrik was born in January 1766 in Meeuwen and his baptism took place there on January 1st, 1766.1   His godmother was Cornelia Vos. Hendrik's father was Peeter Vos and his mother was Anna Maria van Sinttruijen.  His paternal grandparents were Gerrit Vos and Cornelia van Hagoort; his maternal grandparents were Frederik Mattheuszn van Sinttruijen and Hilleke Petersdr van den Assem. He had three brothers and a sister, named Gerrit, Pe(e)ter, Jan and Hilleke.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 39 on April 10th, 1805 in Meeuwen.2
