Egbert Janszn was born on January 24th, 1764 in Enkhuizen and his baptism took place there on January 29th, 1764.1  Egbert Janszn's father was Jan Eijberszn N.N. and his mother was Antje Barendsdr N.N..  His maternal grandparents are Barent Janszn N.N. and Geertje Pietersdr N.N.. He had a brother and five sisters, named Barent Janszn, Neeltje Jansdr, Geertjen Jansdr, Trijntje Jansdr, Elisabeth Jansdr and Liepje Jansdr.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 50 on April 8th, 1814 in Enkhuizen.2
