Barent Janszn was born in March 1755 and his baptism took place on March 16th, 1755 in Enkhuizen.1   His godmother was Dieuwertje Cornelisdr. Barent Janszn's father was Jan Eijberszn N.N. and his mother was Antje Barendsdr N.N..  His maternal grandparents are Barent Janszn N.N. and Geertje Pietersdr N.N.. He had a brother and five sisters, named Egbert Janszn, Neeltje Jansdr, Geertjen Jansdr, Trijntje Jansdr, Elisabeth Jansdr and Liepje Jansdr.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died before 1814 in Enkhuizen.2
