Pieter was born on February 8th, 1834 in Berkel.1  Pieter's father was Adrianus Veenman and his mother was Catharina Koole.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Veenman and Neeltje van der Meer; his maternal grandparents are IJsbrand Koole and Antje van der Burg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Johannes, IJsbrand, Adrianus, Neeltje, Antje, Petronella, Adriana and Klara.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 54 on October 28th, 1888 in Bleiswijk.1
