Geert was born in 1674 in Sprang-Capelle and his baptism took place on December 9th, 1674 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1   His godfathers were Huybert Corneliszn, Jan Janszn and his godmother was Neeltgen Petersdr. Geert's father was Jan Peterszn Timmers and his mother is Janneke Jansdr de Loper.  His paternal grandparents were Peter Teuniszn Timmers and Maycken Geerits Petersdr van der Hoeven; his maternal grandparents were Jan Gerritszn de Looper and Geertruyt Maertensdr Dolck. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Peter, Jan, Gerrit Janszn, Joannes, Joannes, Marten, Geertruyt and Geertruydt.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  Geert is no longer alive.
