Jenneken was born in 1697 in Gameren and her baptism took place there on August 15th, 1697.1  Jenneken's father is Gijsbert Janszn de Swart and her mother is Jenneke Jans de Geus.  Her maternal grandfather was Jan Jan Geritszn de Geus and her maternal grandmother is Peterken. She had five brothers and a sister, named Jan, Cornelis, Arien, Arien, Johannes and Handersken.  She is the sixth oldest of the seven children.
