Pieter was born in March 1743 in Amsterdam and his baptism took place on March 6th, 1743 in Amsterdam (Noorderkerk).1 2   His godfather was Willem Janszn and his godmother was Jannetje Hendriksdr. Pieter's father was Willem van der Schaaf and his mother was Maria Mulders. He had two brothers and a sister, named Jan Willemszn, Pieter and Grietje.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died before April 9th, 1747 in Amsterdam.2
