Egbert was born in 1723 and his baptism took place on May 6th, 1723 in Haaften.1   His godmother was/is Neelken Dirksdr Rink. Egbert's father was Dirk Egbertszn Rink and his mother is Teuntje Hendriksdr Aldens.  His maternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He has two brothers and a sister, named Johannes, Arien and Neelken.  He is the third oldest of the four children. He has a half-brother named Dirk.
