Arien was born in 1726 and his baptism took place on June 9th, 1726 in Haaften.1   His godmother was/is Metje Aldens. Arien's father was Dirk Egbertszn Rink and his mother is Teuntje Hendriksdr Aldens.  His maternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He has two brothers and a sister, named Johannes, Egbert and Neelken.  He is the youngest of the four children. He has a half-brother named Dirk.
