Jacob was born on September 28th, 1833 in Putten.1  Jacob's father was Aart Rengersen and his mother was Etje Soveelen.  His paternal grandparents were Renger Aartszn Rengersen and Dirkje Buijen; his maternal grandparents were Sijpke Pieterszn Soveelen and Gerritje Buurman. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Sipke, Renger, Jacob, Dirk, Gerritje, Henderijntje and N.N..  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died before October 29th, 1834.1
