Aart was born in 1799 in Putten and his baptism took place there on July 21st, 1799.1  Aart's father was Renger Aartszn Rengersen and his mother was Dirkje Buijen.  His paternal grandparents were Arend Rengersen and Grietje Aartsdr Martenszn N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Sebert Buijng and Maartje Willemsdr N.N.. He had a brother and two sisters, named Evert Aartszn, Maartje and Maartje. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Willem and Maartje.
