Johannes was born in August 1712 in Amsterdam and his baptism took place on August 17th, 1712 in Amsterdam (RK).1   His godfather was Gerardus Janszn Heling and his godmother was Susanna Dirkxdr Koopman. Johannes' father was Joost Parmentier and his mother was Elizabeth Jansdr N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Gilles Parmentier and Catelijne van Landeghem; his maternal grandparents were Jan Gerritszn N.N. and Trijntje Claesdr N.N.. He had five brothers and a sister, named Josephus, Johannes, Gerardus, Gerrit, Arnoldus and Alijda.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  He died before December 5th, 1738 in Amsterdam.2
