Metje Arien Andriesdr was born in 1714 in Haaften and her baptism took place there on July 15th, 1714.1   Her godmother was/is Teuntje Hendriksdr Kuijl (Aldens). Metje Arien Andriesdr's father is Arien Andrieszn van Oostrum and her mother is Metjen Hendricksdr Aldens.  Her maternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Jan Arien Andrieszn, Hendrik Arien Andrieszn, Andries Arien Andrieszn, Jenneken Arien Andriesdr, Teuntjen Arien Andriesdr and Teuntje Arien Andriesdr.  She is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
