Elisabet was born in 1743 in Zaltbommel and her baptism took place there on December 17th, 1743.1  Elisabet's father was Cornelius van Oosterhout and her mother was Beertijen van Avesaat.  Her paternal grandparents are Cornelis van Oosterhout and Feijke Gerrits; her maternal grandparents are Adriaan van Avezaat and Jenneke Cornelisdr de Vries. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Adrianus, Cornelis, Sophia and Jenneke.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 43 in 1786 in Zaltbommel.  She was buried on April 15th, 1786 in Zaltbommel.1 1
