Belia was born in 1731 in Andel and her baptism took place there on September 2nd, 1731.1   Her godmother was Marie van Vuuren. Belia's father was Aart Janszn van Hemert and her mother was Janneken Bastiaansdr van Vuuren.  Her maternal grandparents were Bastiaan Janszn Loijen van Vuuren and Hendrina Pieters van Soeten. She had a brother and three sisters, named Jan, Hendrien, Maaijke and Johanna.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 64 on May 8th, 1795 in Rijswijk (NB).1
