Jenneke was born in 1757 in Maasdriel and her baptism took place there on February 27th, 1757. Jenneke's father is Matheus van Hekesen and her mother was Elisabeth van Avezaat.  Her maternal grandparents are Adriaan van Avezaat and Jenneke Cornelisdr de Vries. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Loef, Adrianus, Gerardus, Gradus, Jenneke and Christina.  She was the youngest of the seven children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Gradus, Petrus, Matheus, Goosen and Elisabeth.  She died at the age of 76 on June 27th, 1833 in Ede.1
