Adrianus was born in 1749 in Driel and his baptism took place there on September 21st, 1749.1  Adrianus' father is Matheus van Hekesen and his mother was Elisabeth van Avezaat.  His maternal grandparents are Adriaan van Avezaat and Jenneke Cornelisdr de Vries. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Loef, Gerardus, Gradus, Jenneke, Christina and Jenneke.  He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Gradus, Petrus, Matheus, Goosen and Elisabeth.  He died at the age of 80 on September 24th, 1829 in Driel.2
