Christina was born in 1751 in Driel and her baptism took place on May 31st, 1751 in Maasdriel.1  Christina's father is Matheus van Hekesen and her mother was Elisabeth van Avezaat.  Her maternal grandparents are Adriaan van Avezaat and Jenneke Cornelisdr de Vries. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Loef, Adrianus, Gerardus, Gradus, Jenneke and Jenneke.  She is the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Gradus, Petrus, Matheus, Goosen and Elisabeth.
