Marijke was born in 1713 in Gameren and her baptism took place there on May 14th, 1713.1  Marijke's father was Jan Corneliszn de Geus and her mother is Jenneke Jacobs Salomons.  Her paternal grandparents were Cornelis Janszn de Geus and Hendrikske Aalbertsdr van Gameren; her maternal grandparents are Jacob Janszn Salomons and Geertje Jansdr van Kerkwijk. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Cornelis, Jan Janszn, Hilleke, Lijske, Geertje and Hendrikske.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 80 on November 1st, 1793 in Gameren.
