Lambertus was born in 1781 and his baptism took place on June 3rd, 1781 in Heesbeen.1   Lambertus' father was Simon Janszn Garstman and his mother was Geertruijt Sijmensdr Doedijns.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Gosenszn Garstman and Gijsbertje van Bommel; his maternal grandparents were Sijmen Lambertszn Doedijns and Johanna Jansdr van Veen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Simon, Johannes and Gijsbertje.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 76 on December 16th, 1857 in Heesbeen.2
