Ariaantje was born in 1718 in Sprang-Capelle and her baptism took place on February 20th, 1718 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1  Ariaantje's father was Hendrik Hendrikszn de Bie and her mother was Marie Gijsbertsdr Konings.  Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik Corneliszn de Bie and Beatrix Lenders. She had two brothers and a sister, named Cornelis, Gysbert and Hendrina.  She is the third oldest of the four children.
