James Harper Carter 
James was born on January 26th, 1898 in West Rainton, Co Durham. James' father was John W Carter and his mother was Dinah E Harper. His maternal grandparents were James Henry Harper and Elizabeth Haywood. He had a sister named Esther. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 58 in 1956 in Hartlepool, Co Durham.-
