James Henry Harper 
James was born in 1831 in Penkridge, Staffordshire and his christening took place on November 11th, 1831.1 James' father was James Harper and his mother was Sarah Lees. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Harper and Hannah Clift; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Lees and Mary. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, William, Edward, Emily, Hannah and Martha. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 77 in 1908 in West Rainton, Co Durham.2
