Chandabai's father is Kalyanchand Motichand Jethva and her mother is Sivkor Manekchand Makwana.  Her paternal grandparents are Motichand Jethva and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents are Manekchand Makwana and Premi. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Kantilal, Bhanudas, Charandas, Nilam bai and Dhirajbala. She has three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Yashvantlal [Esvantlal], Vijay, Himatrai and Jyotibala.
