Ann was born in 1831.  Ann's father was John Frow and her mother was Ann Towl.  Her paternal grandparents were John Frow and Sarah. She had three brothers and six sisters, named George, Morris, William, Hannah, Caroline, Dorcas, Ellen, Mary and Harriet.  She was the sixth oldest of the ten children.
