Joseph Coe 
Joseph was born on June 9th, 1780 in Little Compton, Newport, RI. Joseph's father was Benjamin Coe and his mother was Sarah Simmons. His paternal grandparents were John Coe and Rebecca Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Adam Simmons and Deborah Church. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Adam, Benjamin, Ezra, Samuel, Lydia, Henrietta, Diana, Rhoda and Betsy. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 64 in 1844 in Swansea, MA.-
