James Withers 
James was born on February 3rd, 1875 in Sommersetshire, England.1 James' father was James Withers and his mother was Leticia Thatcher (Withers). His paternal grandparents were Mr George Withers and Mrs Eliza Ellis; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Thatcher and Sarah. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Rowland, Charles, Lavina, Emily, Leticia, Kate and Annie. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died due to St. Vincent Hospital at the age of 72 on December 3rd, 1947 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The funeral took place on December 6th, 1947 in Cortland, NY and was arranged by Earl W. Wright. He was buried on December 6th, 1947 in Cortland, NY.1 1
