William was born on November 4th, 1788 in London and his christening took place on November 27th, 1788 in Saint Martin In The Fields, Westminster, London.1 2  William's father was Solomon Turvey and his mother was Ann Willson.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Turvey and Sarah Francis; his maternal grandparents were George Wilson and Margaret Clare. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Charles, Joseph, Thomas, Rebecca, Ann, Sarah, Clarissa and Mary.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 54 on January 18th, 1843 in Ham Common Surrey.3
