Joseph was born on June 30th, 1790 in London and his christening took place on January 20th, 1791 in Saint Martin In The Fields, Westminster.1 2   Joseph's father was Solomon Turvey and his mother was Ann Willson.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Turvey and Sarah Francis; his maternal grandparents were George Wilson and Margaret Clare. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Charles, William, Thomas, Rebecca, Ann, Sarah, Clarissa and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 59 in March 1850 in St Lukes, Middlesex.3
