Elizabeth was born on March 19th, 1815 in Haltwhistle, Northumberland.1   Elizabeth's father was George Tallantyre and her mother was Barbara Mathers.  Her paternal grandparents were William Tallantyre and Margaret Dodd. She had two brothers named William and Thomas.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 63 on September 25th, 1878 in Hull, East Riding, Yorkshire.1
