Annie was born in 1885 in Whitechapel, Middlesex.1   Annie's father was William Henry Rowley and her mother was Jane Elizabeth Newman. She had three brothers named William, James and Thomas.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Charles, Jane, Sarah, Emma and Harriet.  She died at the age of 83 in 1968 in Stepney, Middlesex.
