Sarah Jane Rainey

Sarah was born in March 1840 in Chedzoy, Somerset.¹ Sarah's father was William Rainey and her mother was Agnes Maria Carslake. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Rainey and Elizabeth N; her maternal grandparents were Henry Acland Carslake and Caroline Sarah Crago. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Edmund, John, Levi, Elizabeth and Sarah. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 14 in March 1854.²
