Elizabeth was born in 1816 in Bridgewater, Somerset.1   Elizabeth's father was Richard Rainey and her mother was Elizabeth N.  Her paternal grandparents were Poss Edmund Rainey and <Unknown>. She had four brothers and a sister, named William, John, Edmund, Richard and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 67 in December 1883 in Bridgewater, Somerset.2
