Rebecca Meares

Rebecca was born in 1777 in Gedney Hill, Lincolnshire and her baptism took place there in 1777.¹ Rebecca's father was John Meares and her mother was Ann Cox. Her paternal grandparents were John Meares and Rebecca Fovargue. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Seth and Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers named Thomas, John and Alexander.
