Elizabeth Meares

Elizabeth was born in 1771 in Gedney Hill, Lincolnshire and her baptism took place there in 1771.¹ Elizabeth's father was John Meares and her mother was Ann Cox. Her paternal grandparents were John Meares and Rebecca Fovargue. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Seth and Rebecca. She was the oldest of the four children. She had three half-brothers named Thomas, John and Alexander.
