George Adam Littlecott

George was born on October 19th, 1855 in Southampton, Hampshire.¹

George's father was Adam William Littlecott and his mother was Harriet Hinvest. His paternal grandparents were John Littlecott and Priscillia Rawlins; his maternal grandparents were William Hinvest and Harriet Osman. He had a brother and four sisters, named Charles, Fanny, Elizabeth, Anna and Emma. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 81 on September 20th, 1937 in Southampton, Hampshire.²

  My paternal great uncle. Married Amelia Bone [2c 22 same as birth ref no.] ! Living at 12 King Street, Southampton in 1881 census with his family and parents also in household, Mary Batt a widow aged 89 [Parish Relief] born Cranbury, Kent. 1891 census living at 6, Valley Road, South Stoneham, Southampton a "boarder" Maria Cardy [ Head] single. 1901 living at 9, Liverpool Street, St. Mary, Southampton, again "boarder" Maria Cardy [Head] single plus 3 children George Cardy age 9, Emily Cardy age 7 and Ethel Cardy age 2. They were his children. 1911 census 2 additional children Frank and Henry, but ALL children now take his surname. Maria is still noted as single!
