Elizabeth was born in 1849 in Southampton, Hampshire and her christening took place on June 10th, 1849 in All Saints, Southampton, Hampshire.1 2   Elizabeth's father was Adam William Littlecott and her mother was Harriet Hinvest.  Her paternal grandparents were John Littlecott and Priscillia Rawlins; her maternal grandparents were William Hinvest and Harriet Osman. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles, George, Fanny, Anna and Emma.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
