Susannah was born in 1853 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.  Susannah's father was Charles WRIGHT and her mother was Susannah BARR.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas WRIGHT and Mary PLESSEY; her maternal grandfather was John BARR and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Sarah, Mary and Eliza.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
