Charles was born in 1855 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.  Charles' father was Charles WRIGHT and his mother was Susannah BARR.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas WRIGHT and Mary PLESSEY; his maternal grandfather was John BARR and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had four sisters named Sarah, Mary, Eliza and Susannah.  He was the youngest of the five children.
