Samuel was born in 1875 in Oldbury, Worcestershire.  Samuel's father was Thomas WIMBUSH and his mother was Ann <UNKNOWN>. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Rosannah, Annie, Mary and Ellen.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.
