Ellen was born in 1894 in Oldbury, Worcestershire.  Ellen's father was Thomas WIMBUSH and her mother was Ann <UNKNOWN>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John, William, Rosannah, Annie and Mary.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
