Samson was born on March 16th, 1856 in West Bromwich, Stafford and his baptism took place on January 9th, 1867 in All Saints, West Bromwich, Staffordshire.¹² Samson's father was Samuel PAGE and his mother was Elizabeth WALMSLEY. His paternal grandparents were Simeon PAGE and Sarah <UNKNOWN>. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Thomas, Joseph, Sarah, Elizabeth, Alice and Alice. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 42 in 1898 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire.²
