Walter was born on February 18th, 1891 in Union Workhouse, 50 Arden Street, Stratford-On-Avon.  Walter's father was John HARRIS and his mother was Eliza WRIGHT.  His paternal grandparents were William HARRIS and Elizabeth DUFFIN; his maternal grandparents were Charles WRIGHT and Susannah BARR. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Willie, Charles, Liz, Poll and Sarah.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 41 on January 9th, 1933 in Haunchwood Colliery, Stockingford, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.  He was buried on January 14th, 1933 in Bucks Hill Cemetery, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
