    • This certainly looks to be John Henry & family in the 1891 Census, however the birth place of John Henry should read Nuneaton, Warwickshire not Two Gates, Tamworth!!

    • The Informant on John Henry's death certificate was a Joyce E. TOLFREE & listed as his step-daughter, however at the minute I am still trying to establish exactly who links her to John Henry!!
      The certificate also lists her address at the time of 32 Beechwood Avenue, Waterlooville, Hampshire & after contacting the Portsmouth History Centre they confirmed that in July 1961 she was living at this address with her husband James G. TOLFREE.

John was born on November 10th, 1889 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.1  John's father was William COOK(E) and his mother was Elizabeth ROBINSON.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas COOK(E) and Mary Ann COPE; his maternal grandmother was Mary Ann ROBINSON. He had three brothers and a sister, named Bertie, Frederick, Herbert and Edith.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died  due to Coronary Thrombosis at the age of 71 on July 17th, 1961 in General Hospital, Margate, Kent.  The funeral took place on July 21st, 1961 in Ramsgate Cemetery.  He was buried on July 21st, 1961 in Ramsgate Cemetery.2 2
