Hubert was born on April 26th, 1926 in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.¹ Hubert's father was Frederick James COOK(E) and his mother was Doris Mary COOPER. His paternal grandparents were William COOK(E) and Elizabeth ROBINSON; his maternal grandparents were Albert COOPER and Sarah SKERRITT. He had a brother and a sister, named Frederick and Doris. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 90 in 2016 in Derbyshire.¹
