Mari was born on May 6th, 1856.  Mari's father was Adolf Haas and her mother was Regi (Rebeka).  Her paternal grandparents were Josef Haas and Rebeka  Regi Wohl. She had a brother and two sisters, named Leopold, Tepi and Abe.  She was the third oldest of the four children.
