George was born in 1860 in Horsforth Yorkshire.1   George's father is Joseph Morris and his mother is Ann Mallinson.  His paternal grandparents are George Morris and Ann Johnson. He has a brother and four sisters, named James, Louisa, Charlotte, Mary and Ann Eliza.  He is the third oldest of the six children.
