George was born in 1875 in Hull East Yorkshire.1   George's father is John Garton and his mother is Susan (Garton).  His paternal grandparents are William Garton and Hannah (Garton). He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Charles Robert and (unknown).  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 43 in 1918 in St.Mary Lowgate Hull East Yorkshire.1
