William Arthur was born in 1866 in Yeadon Yorkshire.1   William Arthur's father is John Driver and his mother is Margaret Denison.  His paternal grandparents are John Driver and Mary Jennings. He has four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Henry, Edward, John, Martha Ann, Jane and Sarah Ellen.  He is the third oldest of the eight children.
