Thomas was born in 1862 in Yeadon Yorkshire.1   Thomas' father is John Driver and his mother is Margaret Denison.  His paternal grandparents are John Driver and Mary Jennings. He has four brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William Arthur, Edward, John, Martha Ann, Jane and Sarah Ellen.  He is the oldest of the eight children.
